For your safety, please read the following instructions when replacing the brake pads:
1. Highlights:
Brake pads are part of the vehicle brake system and are also safety critical components. Therefore, the replacement must be very careful, we recommend by the relevant training of vehicle maintenance technicians and other professionals to complete. We are not responsible for any damage caused by improper installation. The installation instructions are for guidance only and do not cover the special functions of the different braking systems and must be strictly followed by the specific instructions issued by the manufacturer of the vehicle or brake pads. And refer to the relevant vehicle manufacturing and maintenance manual. To avoid brake deviation and to ensure that the brake brake, should replace all the brakes in the brake pads. Do not use other products other than the brake pads specified by the manufacturer or other related vehicle manufacturers.
2. Disassembly:
Keep the vehicle on a completely horizontal ground, tighten the handbrake, and then loosen a small portion of the nut on the wheel. Put the wedge under the wheel to prevent gliding. Jack up the jack with a jack and use the bridge to ensure stability. Remove the wheels. Before removing the brakes, use the methyl alcohol or clean brake fluid to thoroughly clean the outer surface of the brake caliper body. Use wire brush to remove excessive dirt. If a muffler is fitted, remove all muffler pads from the brakes with pliers, detailing their mounting position to ensure proper replacement. Check the condition of the spring clamp and, if worn or damaged, replace it when reassembling it.
Note: Do not depress the brake pedal after removing the brakes.
3. Cleaning and inspection:
Use methyl alcohol or clean brake fluid to thoroughly clean the brakes to prevent damage to the dust cover, hoop and guide. If the brake caliper does not have a rubber sheath installed, install a new brake paddle, and then clean the exposed surface and replace the caliper piston with the brake pad. Carefully check the outer surface of the piston for corrosion and damage, if necessary, to replace. If the piston has been stuck, the best way is to replace the new brake pad caliper assembly. Place the silicone grease gently on the surface of the piston, and then carefully insert it into the caliper hole. It is best to use a piston retracting clip. If not, press it through the skid bar. This process will replace the brake fluid. Therefore, to avoid the overflow of the brake fluid in the main cylinder tank, the drain bolts on the caliper should be unscrewed so that the brake fluid flows out of the plastic discharge tube from the back of the piston and into the appropriate container. After the piston is fully fitted into the brake caliper, re-tighten the drain bolts. If there is rust on the outside of the brake disc, so that the new brake pads can not be properly seated, you can use a fine file to remove the rust carefully.
4. Reload:
In the new brakes on the back and the edge carefully coated with anti-card area grade copper grease, remove the friction material, and wipe the caliper to engage the groove. To install an electric horn, insert the new brakes and muffler pads into the brake calipers and use the new cot pins, locating pins and spring clamps to secure them in place. Keep all electrical connections (wear indicators) in the correct way. The same procedure is used for the brake pad assembly opposite to the same shaft.
5. Functional testing:
Re-install the wheels and gently down the vehicle to the ground, repeatedly pressed the brake pedal, so that the new brake pads and brake discs between the operating gap adjusted to the correct location. See the height of the brake fluid in the tank and add it to the highest scale if necessary and use only the brake fluid recommended by the vehicle manufacturer.
CAUTION: Improper handling of the brake fluid may cause serious injury or damage. Observe the manufacturer's instructions for brake fluid.
Important:
After the installation of the new brake pads, be careful to brake. During braking, the braking performance may be reduced. Before the new brake pads are fully engaged, ie the initial 320 km (200 miles), please avoid the emergency brake. Brake pads should be regularly inspected. When the pad thickness is worn to 3 mm (1/8 in.), Replace the new brake pads.
